I’m Antonino Fardella. I decided to restore and assign to the tourist accommodation the nineteenth-century Palazzo where my wife’s family lived for four generations.
The structure is located in the pedestrian area a few steps from Porta Mazara, the gate that protected the walls of ancient Lilybeo, founded by the survivors of the destruction of Mozia in 362 A.C..
You can taste a good glass of Marsala tapped from the cask inside which the family still preserves the mother wine of 1860, the year of Garibaldi’s landing in Marsala. In fact, my children and I take care of the wine Marsala, in the family barrels handed down for four generations, with the ancient method of “perpetual”.
